New project: hydro-sedimentological studies of the Jirau Hydroelectric Power Plant for Energia Sustentável do Brasil

May 21, 2019

From May 2019, RHA Water and Environmental Resources Engineering will undertake hydro-sedimentological studies of the HPP Jirau, installed in the Madeira River, in the State of Rondônia. RHA will develop data consistency studies and report periodic submissions from May 2019 to April 2020, therefore subsidizing an electric matrix per the guidelines established by Resolution ANEEL/ANA nº 03/2010 and Resolution ANA nº 269/2009.

This project, contracted by Energia Sustentável do Brasil, allows HPP Jirau to be in agreement with the Hydro-sedimentological Monitoring Programme. The power plant possesses an installed capacity of 3750 MW, enough to provide clean energy to more than ten million residences, and is connected to the National Interconnected System (SIN), enabling the distribution of its energy to all over the Brazilian territory.
